Tax resources & deadlines

Practical, plain-English guidance to help you prepare with confidence — deadlines, document checklists, and answers to the questions we hear most.

Key Dates

Important filing deadlines

General federal deadlines. If a date falls on a weekend or holiday, it usually shifts to the next business day — we track every date for our clients.

January 31

W-2s & 1099s Issued

Employers and payers must furnish W-2 and most 1099 forms to recipients.

March 17

S-Corp & Partnership Returns

Forms 1120-S and 1065 are due, or an extension must be filed.

April 15

Individual & C-Corp Returns

Form 1040 and Form 1120 are due. Any tax owed is due even if you extend.

October 15

Extended Individual Returns

Final deadline for individual returns filed on extension.

Quarterly estimated taxes are generally due April 15, June 15, September 15, and January 15. If you're self-employed or a business owner, missing these can trigger underpayment penalties — we calculate and remind you.
